Our Project

The project is centered on the feeder area for the Zinatsa Secondary School in the Chivhu communal area approximately 200 km south of Harare. The project team works collaboratively with the staff of Zinatsa Secondary School and its feeder schools; Zinatsa Primary, Zhenje Primary and Munyimi Primary.

The project is primarily focussed on increasing the number of children orphaned by AIDS that complete high school to either 'O Level' or 'A Level' standard through strengthening existing 'families' and improving educational and medical services.

Strategies include:

  • Removing the barriers to regular school attendance by AIDS orphans
  •  Equipping schools with sufficient educational resources to provide a satisfactory education to all pupils
  • Establishing a sustainable visiting clinic to provide medical assistance to AIDS orphans and their carers
